The NIC-side optic in NDR clusters. It plugs into a ConnectX-7 and runs one 400G link over single-mode fiber to half of an 800G twin-port module in the leaf switch.

Common pitfalls

  • Flat-top only: the NIC's cage has no room for a finned module.
  • Two of these pair with one twin-port 800G module at the switch, so order NIC and switch optics together.
