Who we are
Rack Rate (RackRate Inc.) runs rackrate.ai, a market-intelligence site for AI infrastructure, and a customer onboarding service that prepares the compliance packets hardware makers ask for on GPU server orders. Questions about this policy go to legal@rackrate.ai.
What we collect
If you sign in. Your email address and name. If you use "Continue with Google", Google tells us your email address, name and profile picture; we do not get your Google password, contacts, files or anything else.
If you are an onboarding customer. The company details, people, data center information, documents and signed certifications you or your colleagues enter or upload, plus a log of who viewed or downloaded each document.
If you subscribe or ask us for supply. Your email address, and whatever you write in the request form.
Technical data. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and debugging. We do not run advertising or third-party analytics trackers.
How we use it
To sign you in; to prepare and send compliance packets for the deals you ask us to work on; to send the emails you asked for (sign-in links, the newsletter if you subscribed); to answer requests; and to keep the service secure. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Documents read automatically
When you upload certain documents (certificates of incorporation, org charts, data center agreements, site lists), we send them to Anthropic's Claude API to suggest field values, which you confirm before they are used. Anthropic processes them on our behalf and does not use API data to train its models. Bank statements, credit reports, financial statements and loan agreements are never sent to a model.
Who we share it with
The hardware maker on a deal. Only what goes into that deal's compliance packet, and only for deals you are part of.
People at your company you add to your company profile.
Service providers that run parts of the service for us: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database, file storage and sign-in), Google (sign-in, if you choose it), Resend (sign-in emails), Kit (newsletter) and Anthropic (document reading, above). Each processes data only to provide its service to us.
When the law requires it, or to protect our users or the service.
How long we keep it
Account and onboarding data for as long as your company is a customer, and afterwards for as long as export-control and record-keeping rules require. Newsletter subscriptions until you unsubscribe. Server logs for a short period.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of your personal information, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask us to stop emailing you, by writing to legal@rackrate.ai. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link. Some deal records may have to be kept where the law requires it; we will tell you if so.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest with our providers. Access to onboarding data is limited to people at your company and your Rack Rate deal desk, and document downloads are logged.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and tell onboarding customers by email if the change is significant.
